The General Company for the Construction of Administrative Centers contracted with the Transportation Projects Implementation Authority to execute Road No. (4) southeast of Misrata, a 20 km project (Contract No. 2023/21), through a joint venture with the Tunisian Works Company.
This project is considered vital to the region and will serve to alleviate traffic congestion to and from the city. The road connects the existing heavy transport road with the coastal road at the Al-Kararim area in the eastern part of the city. The terrain along the road is marshland.
Due to the lack of complete project designs, the company initiated the preparation of a complete design, including the necessary tests and technical studies, which were recently approved on December 11, 2025.
The company has completed the surveying work, cleared the route, and removed debris. Work is currently underway to lay the stone base in the marshland areas, as shown in the attached video
